Looks good to me! lol Put some in a bowl and add ice cream on top. Yummy!

A tip for any frosting to get it to spread easier: I leave the can of frosting on the stove top while the cake is baking and cooling. When you are ready to frost, just open it and stir it and it will be so smooth. Or, you can just warm it in the microwave for a few seconds at a time to thin it out a little. After you ice the cake, if you let it sit the frosting will harden up again.

Also, to keep the cake from sticking in the pan, cut a circle of wax paper or parchment paper and put it in the bottom of your pan before adding the batter. Then when you take it out of the oven, cut around the edges and turn it upside down. The cake will drop out. Then peel the wax paper off. That's the way my grandma used to do it and how my mom still does it.

:)

Were these pictures of the cake taken before or after the party?

Thanks for the laugh. Better luck next time.

Amen (laughter). We put it in a bowl with pudding, fruit, whipped cream, splash of sherry if you are an adult, and call it a Trifle.

I know why I sew and not bake....Because with sewing....you don't get fat...if you bake, you have to eat it and then you get fat. :) lol

Sorry for your mishap, but anyone that bakes has had them (even when they're good at it), so don't be so hard on yourself. Besides, it was edible, so all was not lost! Hope the birthday was great!
