Can anyone give me insight on the search option for this board? I have searched over and over for words I know ate in the subject and the thread of things I am looking for and only occasionally will I get a positive result. I just spent 10 mins looking for the picture thread of the May Dotee Doll. I ended up having to go to pictures and finding it there. Nothing I searched on brought it up. Hummmmm

I have the same problem sometimes. What I do now is to remember who started the thread - find their name in a thread - click on that and then when their name comes up, I click on the subjects they have started and voila - there you go!!!

I am not very good at explaining things though!!!

I've had that same problem. Beachlady's solution worked for me also....sometimes I even have to look under my own name to find where I posted on the thread before.

Search here is a frustrating affair, but here are some things that have helped me -

* Being specific, both in naming threads and in searches. If the thread was named "Looky here!" it won't be as easily found as "Looky here - Dotey Dolls!"
* Going Beyond the first page of results - the arrow is kinda small, in the center at the bottom of the page.
* Use variations in spellings - everyone has typos and deviant spellings from time to time

It can be interesting using the search feature. If you give it too much info and one little bit is wrong you won't find it and if you give it too little you will get a ton of matches that take forever to go through. This is true of most internet searches.
