I have a super BIG BLACK one on the corner of the brick as I go out the door. Does this mean what I think it means???? My husband says I am crazy!

Well, I just hope it holds off long enough for me to drive home from Florida to Washington. Guess I'll be using the southern route as long as possible!

things that need a freezer would be fine. just put a cooler outside and it will stay cold enough! or you could use snow for ice though the thought of bringing the cold wet stuff inside makes me shutter

Unfortunately, we can't count on freezing weather. It would be just our luck to lose power for several days with temperatures in the low 30's.

Oh no Omaforfour, not another severe winter here in Maine. My DH suffered a sciatic injury last winter snowblowing the driveway and we're getting way too old for this weather but wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

My Black Walnut trees have not had a lot of nuts this year. Usually that is a sign of a mild winter. Take care and stay warm this winter.

I am in northern NY, on the Tug Hill and east of Lake Ontario. No matter what the predictions are it is lake effect storms measured in feet not inches! You can count on it every winter!

The dogs and cats here are getting thicker coats than usual.
