Something happened to our phones and internet on Sunday afternoon and we just got it back this morning. I thought I would go crazy yesterday without it. It's terrible how dependant I've become on this board and the internet in general. I did get two rag purses made yesterday but without my internet I couldn't see how to do the corners. It was a long day!

Way back when, I actually fought the computer in my job as a school librarian. Did not want any thing to do with automation, but had a principal and tech. aide that really pushed me into the modern age. Now I couldn't live without one, even if I've retired from my job.

I moved from one apt to another earlier this month and my biggest concern was the internet ! Luckily my landlord supplies extended cable to each apt anyway; AND I had wi fi in my other apt which is literally through the wall to my old apt.....I was so excited when the movers left and I was able to log on ! Still had to have Charter out to do the official "move" but was glad to have the service !

It is rather sad (for me) to be without my internet crutches !

I miss mine when it's gone too. When we go camping we bring laptops so we can stay connected. I never thought I would be so dependent on computers. They are everywhere now.

That is so disconcerting when that happens. Glad to see that you are again "wired" (smile).

The internet is a boon (I let my answering machine take calls, though), I agree. But I recently saw the most hilarious take on being an internet junkie, LMTO!

Of course, this is a spoof of the original "Ascent of Man" poster, which hung in every classroom in the public grammar school I went to, decades ago.
