Good morning logophiles (someone who loves learning new words)
Today's word is Mettle
noun;

1.
Courage and fortitude.

2.
Disposition or temperament.

Go to it, ladies and gents!

Will I have to mettle to learn to applique? Perhaps, but I think it will look like a bleb!

I think Diana is stuck on remoras!

The hull of the schooner was fouled by hundreds of the ubiquitous and repulsive remoras. The leonine captain, despite the painful blebs covering his nether parts, put the seamen on their mettle and wearing but slimsy undergarments they dove over the sides and scraped away the obstructing members of the family Echeneididae.

I really have to be on my mettle to sew in such a slimsy space, where the pet hair from my leonine dog is ubiquitous and the blebs are multiplying like remoras. Argh!
