We have loved George Jones For years. Love "He stopped loving her today". My husband said this morning he wondered if they will play that song at his funeral? Not too many great ones left. George Strait is one who comes to mind. The man still looks REAL good!!

I seen him perform twice, and both my dh and I love the show. He was awesome. Best of the best, Merle is right up there with him as far as I am concerned. Who is gonna fill their shoes? Not the talent we have today? I think we are loosing the country roots. I just don't even listen to the New Country today. No interest, in the jumping around, and trying to be cool, loud show casing music. Not even country. Still a few good ones out there that hasn't lost their country roots. Toby Keith and a few, never will have another Elvis or Johnny, or George. One of a kind!

Oh, and we went and seen Ronnie Milsap too! He doesn't like the way country music is heading either. Also, seen Don Williams! Another one right up their with George and Merle.

Such a talent & such a loss to the country music community & the world at large. RIP Mr. Jones. Now he is reunited with Tammy Wynette - what a duo!

We are getting older when we realize how many have gone before us.

You also forgot to mention Jim Reeves, Johnny Horton, Jim Ed Brown and his sisters, Buck Owens and others that have gone on .
