World War 3 with the cat.

I have a mini Australian Shepherd and he wants to be CLOSE to me at all times and he has sat on my foot control many times...he's been hit by falling rulers and falling fabric scraps but he refuses to leave my side!

Kitties love quilts. I put an unfinished mess of a quilt on a chair and it is one of my cats favorite spot to stay all day on.
If I leave my sewing room door open by morning my bed is covered with scraps of fabric my kitty gifts to me.
Of course my bedspread is a quilt and they sleep with me on it.

I have learned the hard way about 30 years ago when I was really into sewing different crafts to keep my sewing room door closed when I was not in it. I had a cat name "Jetta". She wasn't too bad when I was in there but once I left the door open. I heard a whizzing sound and thought it sounded like my machine running. Jetta was laying on the foot controller. It was always very touchy. I was on the phone and couldn't hang up fast enough. After that, I installed a screen door to my sewing room door. She could see but not come in. She also gave birth twice in my scrap baskets.

Oh that's too funny....the next generation of quilt inspectors, makes sense they'd be born in a scrap basket!!
I remember getting woken up as a teenager by our family cat giving birth on my bed. She wouldn't let anybody but me be near her while she was giving birth, I took it as a huge gross compliment, LOL. Next litter was born UNDER my bed, which was a small improvement.

What a beautiful quilt and even more lovely cat. Yours picture made my morning happy as I recover from a fall in my own kitchen where I broke 8 ribs and punctured a lung. I should have stayed safely upstairs quilting where I belonged, huh?

No contest! The war is over and you lost. Sorry you didn't know the rules about cats and quilts but I see your kitty has generously shown you the way. Now you can surrender peacefully and get back to sewing! P.S. Mostly, they're all the same...bossy in the quilting room
