When purchasing a fabric that is a remnant,

would you prefer to have it neatened up so that it is exactly the measurements in the ad

    or

Would you prefer to have any "extra" left on (I'm talking about neat edges, not scraggly)

    The extra of course!!!

Though I do expect the measurements to be somewhat correct. Translation ... I recently bought a few pieces at the thrift store and came home to discover that one the measurement was the full length, but no considerations to the huge chunk taken out. And another, there had been a piece taken off the full length. Oh well ... while a disappointment, I still scored on the $ side.

Leave the extra. You usually have to ship the fabrics, so they get messy anyways~

I have purchased and sold fabrics that were not exactly squared. It is nice to know the measurements of the squared fabric and then just throw in the the piece that is hanging on!

    Thanks -

The measurements I put in an ad are "squared off/up" measurements -

Or if a piece is missing, I mention it.

I was collecting triangles for a charm quilt once - so I have many many pieces of fabric that are "intact" - EXCEPT for that triangle.

    If I had known then what I know now - - - - -

Please leave any extra/odd pieces on it. I might need that tiny bite.

Extra is always better, just in case one needs the extra!
