A regular or contributing status only matters if one wants to sell something in the classified section or ask for something in the other section.

I see, I did not know that you needed regular status for selling...hummmm, don't they realize that some go on holidays, or have to be away for a few days...They should maybe reconsider how they decided to take away your regular status...because really, I don't think It has been that long since I was on, and I always participate when I'm here.....Oh well, status is what it is.....I will still enjoy this site....

Maybe there should be a way to notify the board that you have to be out of touch, and your absence is only temporary - like giving the teacher a note from the doctor!
