Thank you everyone so much... i'm feeling better about my decision to wait and greatly appreciate the insite to a smaller size puppy... next summer it is! (big smile)
If it was me I would wait till retirement ...puppies take a lot of time... and just like a human baby the first weeks/months are very important for bonding and yes, puppies do not like to be alone!
