I tend to buy shirts, etc., that have quilting patterns. I even have my bathroom floor tiled in a complicated quilting pattern. I don't know the name of it, but I'm sure many of you would recognize it. And, you can always spot a quilter as one is drawn to a stack of old fabric scraps in a thrift shop. Are we a crazy bunch or what?!?

The absolute truth is that we are a fun bunch. I never met an unkind or mean spirited quilter.

Someone else had said this a few years back, and one of the answers was priceless! She said you know you're a quilter when you cut yourself and your first thought is "don't bleed on the fabric". Every time I think of this, it makes me smile.

When my DH came home from work with a rip in his fairly new Khakis and I saw fabric for a Khaki quilt.

I see quilt patterns mainly in flooring.

I see quilting fabric in what others are wearing. I have to resist asking strangers if I can have their shirt, skirt, etc. when they are done with it. LOL... especially scrubs on medical staff!

I have no problem asking friends for their old clothes. LOLOL

I once asked a man if I could have his beautiful Hawaain shirt when he was through with it. His wife, unbeknownst to me, was standing a few feet away and said, "I have already called 'dibs' on that shirt.' We looked at each other and laughed, because we both knew automatically that we were quilters.

I think I am the most obsessed. I see people all the time wearing clothes that strike me as perfect for a quilt.......lol.

You know you are a quilter when you have threads all over your clothes and don't even notice.
