Hello Georgia! You are the first one to post here who is somewhat in my neighborhood. I live in Bolivia and we too are from "somewhere else". Lovely state. We love it. Because we are retired, I can stay inside when it's really really hot. 8-)

We retired to Lake Toxaway 5 years ago and now I'm learning to quilt!!! We sit on a mountain looking into South Carolina.

Hello-another North Carolinian--I was born and raised in Moore County-Robbins - Carthage NC-now live in Asheboro, NC-Randolph County-We have 2 homes so we stay back and forth!

I am so glad to find out I am surrounded by quilters closer than I thought!!

I'm from Winston Salem where we have a Goodwill Outlet on Peter's Creek Parkway. If it doesn't sell in 3 weeks at the other GW it goes to the Outlet and is sold by the pound. Great source of name brand fabric...Laura Askley, Soma, Tommy H. etc

My husband is from Dunn, NC, on the East coast side. We are living in GA now, but hoping to move very soon up to Western part of NC. :)
