I am a North Carolinian by heritage and birthright--have had ancestors living in and around Burke County since 1767....I LOVE Morganton and visit the Heritage Room of your wonderful library every chance I get. If my kids weren't all living in No. California I would definitely be living in a NC cabin somewhere between Spruce Pine and Morganton....Nice to make your email acquaintance ;->)

I wasn't a member here when this thread first came around. I'm glad to catch it this time.

I'm from High Point, NC and am now living in Cary, just outside of Raleigh.

I am right outside Sanford in Broadway NC. And my husband is from Kernersville, NC. I'm actually from Ohio and grew up loving the Amish quilts so now I decided to learn how to quilt. If anyone is local send me a message.
