You can just jump right into conversation in the chat room. Most everyone there welcomes who ever comes in next. Be sure to come back into chat, the more the merrier! :D

Olivia's Gramy, I am on dial up and hesitated for a long time to 'use' chat. It seemed difficult and I too, worry about interrupting.
I have since learned that ppl in chat, know that the door is open and the open and welcome signs are 'out', and that at any moment, someone new can appear, and they have no clue what was being discussed, so it's quite alright to just jump in.
If the topic is really important, ppl will say hi, and keep talking to that person that needs their response.
If it's not that big a deal, a new subject is certainly welcome and ppl just roll with it all.
I tend to be a bit chatty, but I do that, hoping that others will follow my cue, to just come out of their corners.
Sometimes I will notice names, but that person not talking and will ask them something, so they will feel included.
I hope this mouse never makes anyone feel anything other than included:XD:
I do tend to get rather excited at the prospect of so many to talk to. Like a smorgasbord. Meeces love smorgasbords.

I love this board. Like many of you, I check in first thing in the morning and then check back several times during the day.

I'm addicted. I check in several times a day - before and after work. Love looking at the pics. Spend so much time staring at the screen that I don't get as much sewing done as I used to!

Like Olivia's Gramy, I popped into Live Chat very briefly on a couple of occasions when I first joined. Haven't tried it again.

Please try chat again - I love talking to others, and it often helps me to find info out, and it is fun - just drop in and out!

As I read this thread..I am laughing. My husband is in bed, watching the news. He wants to know why I am laughing. I am telling him my friends on Quilting Board want to know if anyone is addicted. This is his reply , "Well, DUH!" I have to admit that I am on Quilting Board four or fime times a day. I love this sight and all the friends I have made. Thank you for being here..for all the sharing of information and comfort and the love of fabric expression.
Blessings Ladies and Gents

My husband refers to this board and my other fabric/craft sites as 'your fabric porn'.
