Mine is still open but they get the mail from a different post office and bring it to ours to sort and deliver. Previously a truck delivered to them. It comes a day later.

Mine is not on the list thank goodness. It is OK to go to PO in summer, but oh how I hate to go in winter. The wait in line is usually close to an hour. If I drive 15 miles to main PO I can self mail packages, but I hate driving that far for 1 item.

Several post offices near me are on the list for evaluation, but no one knows yet if they will close. All of them are in very small towns with mostly rural delivery. We're keeping our fingers crossed that they can stay open.

ours was up for review about 15 years ago and I learned at the time, one of the deciding factors is not how much mail they process but how much they sell. So you can bet I buy ALL my stamps at my local PO. Even when I spend the winter elsewhere, I stock up on stamps at home before I go.

No, but there are two on the list that are further down in the country that are. They won't affect me and I am glad ours isn't one of the ones mentioned because I would hate to have to go through the hassle of getting another address. What a pain. I do think we could go without Saturday delivery though. What would that hurt?

Amazing isn't it- we elect people who aren't competent simply by popularity. We let them make decisions based on their personal bent to the lobbiests. We want to believe we live in the best run country in the world yet here we are allowing the same money we each worked to earn be spent and thrown away on incompetently run programs and services because they are government- oh and by the way- next time your boss says we aren't giving out raises this year because the company is not able to- just tell him hogwash there's always money- just tell the customers to buy more and charge them double- and if they refuse find a way to get more money out of them in service fees

A couple of the Maine ones are on islands. One of the NH ones is the South Tamworth PO. It's a little, tiny, tiny building, no bigger than a room. Cute but probably not a big money maker.

Looks like most of the closings in Oklahoma are in the western part of the state. There was only one in OKC. Just glad the one in my town wasn't listed.

We looked last night and ours isn't listed. We have one about a 1 1/2 miles down the road, very convenient!
