Aloha,
I found this site through the web while i was researching two machines. I'm currently looking at a Pfaff 7510 creative or a Bernina virtuoso 150. what are your thoughts on these two machines? I know they are older ones. My Pfaff 1222E is giving me trouble and is down for major repairs. I need a machine asap that can handle think materials quilting and things like seat covers and head rest covers. with a decent sewing adjustment area for thicker items. what would you recommend? i planto buys newer model on the summer once we move and settle into new place but need one right now to complete work projects i have due and i came across these two.

Aloha! Back in my younger days I used to spend quite a bit of time in the Makaha area.
For a temporary machine, I would just grab which one felt best to me. We each have personal likes and dislikes and some machines just are a better fit for whatever little reasons.
I have a vintage Pfaff that belonged to a friend's grandmother and I'm a fan of them.
Some people don't like Bernina because you typically have to buy all new feet for each machine. Again, that is probably not a concern for you. My modern Bernina 820 (the computerized model) needs to go into the shop and so I've been using my portable very low end Brother because working beats not working!

It sounds like you need an industrial machine for what you are doing. I recommend Juki or Consew. They only sew straight stitch but are powerful. You would be out about $600, unless you found a good deal on a used one. Don't forget that with the industrials you need the table the motor and oil are held in.
