I'm new to this board and bored stiff--just developed a case of shingles on bridge of my nose and around one eye and can't wear my glasses -- can't see well enough to read or sew--darn!!!! Sure hope it doesn't last long cause I have so many projects in mind to get done before Dec first. Hope I can remember to take all the pills to help it go away!!!! Love reading all the hints and comments on this board (don't need my glasses to read them) to keep occupied.

Good for you for finding us as part of your recovery plan!
It's a great way for you to "keep" quilting, when you can't do it yourself.
However I should give you a WARNING!!!!
You'll latch on to even more things to add to your want to do list.

Hi and welcome from Alaska. I did not know there was an Altoona, Iowa--I have a brother who lived in Altoona, PA for many years. Are you near Carson, Iowa? I have a daughter living there and another in Omaha. Hope your shingles go away soon.

Hi I had a friend from Altoona, IA. Her married name was Marilyn Flaig we knew her and her husband in Norfolk VA. I think her madien name was Meyers, but not sure, years ago. Hope the shingles don't last long. Had you ever had the vaccineHeal quickly, Jackie

Welcome to the board from Illinois. Sorry to hear about the shingles. I honestly didn't know you could get it on your face though. Thought it was always the rib cage (the only 4 people I know who had it, had it there).
