We are practically neighbors! - I'm in Cedar Rapids :-D

Carol Doak's books got me going on the paper piecing. Her DVD's are excellent!

Wow! Small world! Waukee is quite a thriving community now - and Adel has a wonderful quilt shop. We don't get over that way very often anymore, unfortunately.

I hadn't been there for a few years, and when my dad passed last August, I was so shocked at how things had grown. Some of it always seems the same, I guess those are just memories. I will always think of Iowa as my home.

Helloo, MidwestMary from Iowa! This is Edie from St. Paul, just a hop, skip and jump away from you Iowegians!!! I am a German/Swede! But then I guess we all are from this neck of the woods, eh? I have some paper piecing here I got from quilterscache.com and am getting ready to try it. Have been quilting for 13 years now and I would say it is about time to try paper piecing! I am already addicted to quilting, does getting addicted to paper piecing make you twice as addicted?????? Edie
