Hi all, I am Jan Gibson from a small farming community in
Cherryvale, Kansas. Just started quilting in May, 2010. Love cats, have 6, and 3 dogs, a doxie, min-pin and terrier. All get along fine. I'm
retired but very busy, a grandma and great-grandma. Will have plenty of quilts to start and hopefully finish for family. Must say I never thot in high school math would be so important, but now quilting I am finding out it was important, but I love the challenges. The lady who helped me get started is probably now wanting to move and change her phone number. Not really she is wonderful. Hope to get some helpful hints from this.

Thanks to all who welcome me. Sure makes me feel a part of the quilting world, a warm, fuzzy feeling. Will be glad to learn some tricks of the trade from all you experienced and still learning quilters. Thanks so much!!!!

Jan, you have made a great choice joining up with these folks on the Forum! I was a "lone" quilter for 7 years. Did not have one quilting friend, no guilds, just info I picked up listening at LQS (Local Quilt Shop). Then this past year I discovered guilds and this website!!! There is nothing I can not find out now!! Welcome!! Ask anything, anytime.
