another newbie from Texas

Hi, and welcome from Rogers TX. You'll love the people on this board.
I'm right there with you on the quilting! I, too, have enough fabric to last me for years (and last week just ordered more from two online sites)! I also like quilting books and have a huge collection of those. I've bought books just to get one specific pattern that I liked. Lately I have decided that for every specific quilt project I complete, I'll then piece a scrappy top just to use up some of my stash and get it down to a manageable size.

And I'll welcome you from Iowa! I am also a newbie...just now found the time to sit and read some of these forums. And a new quilter...just since January of this year. I'm an "old style" quilter...tie them instead of machine quilting. And so far 9 patch, a simple windmill, and strip quilts are all I've done. Each one I do I love the most! LOL! Sorry to sneak into your post to introduce myself, but not sure how to start my own.
