any one know how to center an oval cameo on a queensize (99"x108")quilt?

don't know correct size for the cameo for this size quilt
so it doesn't over power the rest of quilt

HELP!!

Thank God, a living, breathing quilter whom I can communicate
with!!

Do you know where I can go for help with this project??

I want to make a wedding quilt (Queen 99"x108") for my only grandchild who is getting married in Sept.

I want to place a cameo silhouette in the center of the quilt.

I need to know what size the cameo should be as not to overpower the overall quilt

any directive would be helpful

thank you
sheila

Welcome Sheila. I would take a couple of platters, or hoops and place them on my bed until you are pleased with the size, then measure it!

I am sure there is a formula somewhere, but I like to trust my eye, if it passes for me it is darn good.

That is a really GOOD idea. I will have to try that sometime. Good luck and remember to post pics!
