Hello, I used to quilt regularly, although even at the time I considered myself a beginner. My last quilt was made for my youngest daughter as she graduated from high school. At the time I was taking care of my mother who was dealing with cancer. After she passed I set out to finish college and get my degree in counseling. Fresh out of college I was hired as an intern, and still my sewing machine sat in the closet and my quilting dreams fell away.

Recently my life has changed in such away as to allow me to return to my own land of "Oz" and one I love dearly. I took the machine out of the closet, sewed up a bag in a weekend, which got the creative juices flowing, and now I am pieceing a quilt for a best friend, and have a stash waiting to do a wonky block for myself. It feels so good to be back.

I was scared that after sitting for so long that my machine would be in need of care, but it purrs like a kitten, sure glad that years ago I got a great machine.

Glad to have found the forum, many years ago I was part of a forum and we had so much fun with fat quater swaps etc.

Thank you for being here.

Thank you both, I am so happy to be back to sewing and creating.

I jumped right in with a quilt I am doing for my best friend who has been there thru thick and thin. It is a wild little thing a based on her love of Horror movies. It has been fun to design.
