    Blowing in from ND!

Greetings all you quilting people! I've been a lurker here on the QB site for many months!
I think I had a different user name before, but can't remember what it was, so I just decided
that I'd start a new one and introduce myself! I live in Jamestown, ND, and it is Really, Really
windy here! (hence my title! LOL!!) I enjoy quilting - when I can find the time - and I love
antique sewing machines, both small, child size or the usable larger ones! I look forward to
getting to know some of you! Karen

Hello and welcome from an Iowa Girl! My sis/DH lived in Jamestown while a traveling nurse. They were there just in time for the big flood a couple of years ago. They loved the folks in your hometown.

Welcome from the Tampa Bay area. If it's windy and some snow is coming in, will that result in snirt? This is a good place to learn and share.
I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day.

Hello from West Virginia! I also love old sewing machines. Not sure when they become antique. I sew all my quilts on old Singers. I'm currently using my 401, getting ready to switch to the 500 (Rocketeer), and then the Featherweight 221. I go back and forth after a couple of months. I have a Singer Treadle, and used it when I sewed some polyester quilts together a few years back. These machines sure are workhorses!
