Hi from another Va quilter. hey I know where South Hill is. I used to live near keysville.
I grew up in Buckingham, graduated from Buckingham Central High School (now it is County High School). I was on the Appomattox side of Buckingham. Relatives still in Appomattox....SouthHill isn't that far from me now. I now live in Blackstone, rurual area. Very small world when you get right down to it. Mary

How long did you live in that area? You probably know a bunch of my kin folks...Edwin Baker ,,thee masons...connie and Burl Harris,s,,,Metcalfe's I could go on and on !!! Edwin Baker has passed away...He was Commonwealth Atty.I'm sure you've eaten at sheldons....My best friend still lives at Drakes Branch....[quote=fidgety]

Wow it is small world. I worked at Drakes branch at west point stevens until they closed the doors. had to move to find work.

Thanks for the welcome...I've traveled up your way 3 times....love that area...If it's not the black flies it would be hurricanes, tornators, fires, floods, mud slides or something...we just don't know what it will be next or where....take care !!!

well we are neighbors !!!! My g-daughter went to Kenston....I used to wholesale crafts to a place there about 15 ys ago

Yep sure have ate at Sheldons. I lived there for 5 years. None of the names you wrote struck a bell tho.

I LOVE Virginia! My hub grew up there and I am from Oklahoma. As soon as my kids grow up we are heading there to stay. =)
