Welcome from the desert of Nevada. For the candle mat try www.free-quilting.com. The featured pattern is the Royal Crown and it was shown as a candle mat.

Welcome: go to this web site,

http://www.free-quilting.com/

I believe you have to become a 'free' member, but they post a new quilt pattern every day that is 'free' and they have lots of candle mats. As a matter of fact today's (Thur. the 25th) is a candle mat. If you don't like this one or missed it there will be more posted. Also you can do a search on this site. Hope this helps. I've downloaded a ton of patterns do you think I will get any of them made. LOL

The only quilted candle mat I made was basicly a dresdon plate pattern. The sections were not sewn onto a background, it was kept round. I have seen counted cross-stitch candle mats that are square.
