Cat Lady Learns to Quilt!
#1
Hi Everyone!
I've been sewing and doing needlework since I was about 8 years old, but about a year ago I started a cathedral window quilt and have fallen in love with quilting. It began when a bunch of us were sitting at cat shows (my avatar is one of my show cats) and needed something to do in between judging. So we started teaching each other little carry-along quilting projects and we all learned together.
I did my first child's quilt this past Christmas and learned the hard way that using yarn for a tie quilt is very painful, although very pretty!
I have three projects going currently and I'm looking for other quilters to share my triumphs and my trials (which will probably outnumber my triumphs while I am learning).
I live near Houston, Texas with my husband, my daughter and our cats!

Welcome to the Board from So. Calif Lisa! Zzyzx is the boss here (see my avatar? yelling at me as usual!), she just turned 16 & I've been quilting about the same amount of years. I'm looking forward to seeing your pics! :D
