Hi, like many others, I have been lurking for a while! I am in awe of all the talent on this board. I just don't know how you all find time to make so many quilts. BUT, you have inspired me to get back in the sewing room and start again. I started a purple jelly roll quilt -- the one where you join all the strips and then double up, etc. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

Mainly I have made baby quilts because I like to quilt them myself and am a bit fearful of trying a large quilt on my machine. I still have the very first quilt top I made several years ago and it is not quilted. Maybe I will take to to someone and get it finished up!

I also do machine embroidery, so when I am in the sewing room, I usually have 2 machines going - one with an embroidery pattern and one with me sewing.

I can't wait to post a pic of my first quilt here.

Hello and welcome from SW FL. I graduated from baby quilts to large sizes on my machine. It's not easy squeezing all that fabric through, but it can be done. Try it.
