I am working on a Jinny Beyer moonglow quilt right now, paper piecing and hand sewing, at least the first few blocks. It is a very painstaking business and I can't decide whether I am enjoying the piecing enough to make it worth all of the extra painstaking effort and time.

I suspect that I won't feel that with this quilt until I have most of the top together and I can see the dramatic color patterns.

When I can get at it, I am also piecing a pile of traditional blocks from the Three Sisters Chocolat fabric line that came out a few years back. I fell in love with that fabric and splurged on a pile of it, and I have put together enough blocks to make almost two full sampler quilts. I really want to get these done but want to finish them on the machine.

I take a few minutes every day to find something about quilting from a blog or web page, so I am looking forward to reading the posts here. It is such an addiction!

Hello again! I hope you weren't near the fires! I can't wait to see your MoonGlow, that is one beautiful quilt! Hang in there, it'll get done and then you can post a picture.

Welcome to the board. Sounds like you have a really busy life right now but it's nice that you make a tiny little bit of time for something you enjoy.
