Question First Time

I am new to the quilting board just happened upon it one day. I am having trouble with my thread breaking when free motion quilting. I have changed needles, thread and rethreaded machine several times. I have used Guterman thread many times and it is happening over and over does anyone have any suggestions. I have been quilting for 30 years the last 20 by machine.

Waving hello from Maryland! Sounds like you've been quilting quite a while, maybe it's time for tune-up on machine. I hope you find the problem!

Welcome from NJ! Was vacationing near you this past Jan. First time in FL for me. Lovely area.

Sorry I have no answers for your question as I'm a hand quilter.

Welcome from Houston! Have you tried loosening your tension a bit? You don't say what kind of machine you have, but I have a Bernina and the older ones tend to have the tension set a bit tight coming from the factory so I do have to loosen the top tension with some thread.
