I need help! I'm a new quilter and am making a Southern Belle quilt for my granddaughter. The pieces are all fraying. I put them on fusible interfacing hoping that would solve the problem but it didn't. Is there anything I can do other than start all over to alleviate this problem?
I know I should have either turned and pressed the edges under but now it's too late.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome from Louisiana:) A possibility would be to machine applique on using a satin stitch to catch all the fraying edges. I think I would use spray basting to keep them from moving around while you stitch. Just a thought:)

Guess my best bet is to start over. Hope there's enough fabric left. The quilt may end up being a graduation present--the granddaughter I'm making it for is 3!
Thanks for the welcomes. I'm in KY but just recently moved from OH where we lived for 35 years before retiring here in the mountains.

Spray Basting is a type of spray on temporary adhesive. It holds layers of quilts together or can hold a applique shape in place while it is being sewn down. It washes out, but you have to use something under it when spraying to catch the over spray.
