I'm new to quilting, but have been sewing since I was six or so. I currently drive a Singer 237, or occasionally a Domestic treadle. I've never made a quilt before, but I'm currently collecting fabric for an axehead, and have a crazy quilt top in need of some help.

I'm looking forward to learning more about quilting, and hopefully won't drive myself nuts over the first few projects!

An axehead is large version os an apple core, sometimes called a spool pattern. Like this: http://www.treadleon.net/quiltshop/n...ecorequilt.htm

Welcome from sunny Florida. I am new to quilting also and am just finishing my first quilt. I have been hand quilting and love the slow meditative tempo. But, I must confess, yesterday I bought a new Janome Horizon! Anything you every want to know you can find out at this site ... and such friendliness. Welcome and have fun quilting!
