I am 87 and have been quilting non stop for the past seven years. Bill and I had been married for 60 years when he was taken by pancreatic cancer. I was lost! Some friends encouraged me to join our Rec. Center, and Red Hats. My first trip with them was to the Texas State Fair where I watched a demon of the Viking embroider machine. That was all I needed to see, I bought one on the spot and brought it home and I haven't stopped. I have about 47 ggrand kids and announcements of more to come. I really have lost track of just how many because my grandkids can't figure out what causes it. I love them and love making quilts for them.

Welcome to the board ggram87. I am sorry for the loss of your husband and glad to hear you have found something to fill your days and bring you pleasure. Being 87 years old with 47 grandchildren, you bring much wisdom, and you will be a blessing to this board. I hope you come here often.Originally Posted by ggram87
