Big Sky Country is Montana. Less than 1 million people live. Helena is the capital and we share our city with deer. They have migrated from the mountains that surround us. We have snow that a lot of people take advantage of for skiing and snowboarding but our Springs and Summers are stupendious for fishing, water skiing, camping.

Welcome from Indiana! I hope you're getting your daughter online here as well. There are lots of great tips here, swaps, tutorials, and support. Welcome aboard.

Welcome from Georgia. It sounds like you have your own family quilt guild going there! Do you all live close to each other?

I have one sister that lives in Helena with me, another sister in Dillon (about 2 1/2 hours away), and another sister in Bozeman (about 1 1/2 away). My daughter lives in Oregon, but my nieces are close by so we are able to all get together during holidays and we have a lot of fun. We already making plans for our next get together.

Thank you for asking.

You are so blessed to have such a large quilting family :!: My sister and I are the only two that quilt and we are 1,000 miles away. Mom and my grandmother both sewed clothes for us, but never quilted or embroidered. I did learn some of the basic embroidery stitches fro 2 eldery aunts but picked up quilting on my own.

Welcome to the board--glad to have you!
