Hi, My name is Barbara. I have been quilting for about 15 years. My passion is needle turn applique. I am active with the Quilts of Valor Foundation and create 1 quilt a month, start to finish to send to our vetrans. I have been doing this for a little over 4 years and just completed NUMBER 51. You can see photos at http://community.webshots.com/user/pins4
When I moved here 3 years ago there were no quilters in the developement so I started a beginner class and now have 3 good quilting friends. I sort of created my own support base! LOL We are very active and have since found a guild nearby in Brunswick NC. I also found a church with a small quilting mission and spend 1 day a week with them making comfort quilts for anyone who needs a warm hug. Retirement is wonderful when I have my needle and thread nearby.

Hi there. I'm from Canada but my hubby and I go to N.Myrtle Beach, SC for 2 months to escape the harshest part of winter. I wondered if there were any quilters or quilting groups in the area. I went to the Quilt Show last winter. It was quite nice, so there must be quilters somewhere.

I should have looked at your webshots first. My my, I'm so impressed with all the quilts you have done for QOV. I think my favorites are the wonky stars.
