    Hello,
My name is Harry Barnett, proud father of 4 little ones, and I am married to Merry Barnett. Unfortunately, none of us quilt. We are starting a home daycare and currently run a small website, laptophoops. I found this site since some of you own my lap quilt frames. What am I doing on this site? Well, since I have a website that mainly sells to quilters and I have no clue about quilting, I am learning from all of your posts. It is great to read so many direct feedbacks on so many different subjects. From time to time, I may jump in with a question on a notion or technique, but for the most part, I will just be reading.

    Thanks,
    Harry Barnett

I think it would be great for you or your wife to learn how to quilt, many of us are learning....and I think it would help you understand better what you are selling

Welcome, Harry Barnett. I think it's awesome that you're taking the time to see behind the scenes of how your product is used. I'm sure you'll learn a lot and might find ways to market your products differently.

welcome from Michigan! I met a woman last year who had a lap hoop similar to the one in your picture, but hers had only one vertical support thing, so she slid the bottom part under her leg for working on it. Have no idea where she got it, someone may have made it for her, but it looked sooo handy. Do you have anything like that? I am a hand quilter.

I have to admit, I am learning a ton from all of the postings. I was just reading a posting of yours on the Featherweights. I have my mothers and recently purchased a missing foot pedal off eBay to get it working. The problem is, I don't know how to load the thread and make it sew. It's in perfect condition and I admire the quality and simplicity that singer built into these little machines, so many years ago. I have it on display, waiting for one of my daughters to show an interest. Good luck with the Featherweight.
    Harry
