I am new to this and am excited to see all the great info. I am a self taught quilter outside a very basic beginers quilting class. I am not sure you can even call me a quilter but I do love to try. I have made 2 so far and want to try the Sister Star pattern. It seems "piecy" to me but I think it is beautiful. I am attempting this for my sister so mistakes will surely be forgiven. LOL I looked for a pic of one, but didn't see one. Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

Comment edited. Wrong block. ;-) ;-)

How about this block - Is it the one you're talking about - someone labeled it Sister Star block?

    Hi Dee Dee,

That block is nice. I had never heard of it before. Since I did some of the Farmer's Wife's BOM, it doesn't look too difficult to do even though its "piecy". Its only full and half-square triangles. Do you have a question about it?

Hi DeeDee, welcome to the board. I wonder if you are thinking of the "Sister's Choice" block. Here's a photo.....
