A big welcome from Orlando, Florida. My DH and I spent 16 days in Alaska on one of the most beautiful trips we ever made. We did everything but never got to see Mt. McKinley because of fog. Even in Denali Park.

Lots of people never see Denali - it's like the northern lights: I lived up here for years before actually seeing them! Now I don't stay up late enough to look for them. And I can see Denali from the highway in Anchorage on a clear day. And the Bore tide is another thing that you rarely get to see - I've seen it maybe 3 times in 30 years!

Welcome from Maine! You will enjoy this QB very much, I spend hours on here looking at the beautiful work and meeting such lovely people here. I've been to Alaska three yrs ago, left Maine in May and got back home the end of Aug. We r planning another trip within the next 2 yrs. I loved it there. What a breathtaking state. Every day was full of every adj. you can think of!!!! OMG, Beautiful, beautiful area you live in. Lot like Maine.

I'd love to visit Maine someday. Was there 20 some years ago, but didn't explore; just passing through. One day..
