Hi, I’m from NY… I’ve been lurking here for about 3 months or more and I must say, You All are very talented, helpful and amazing quilters. I’ve been inspired by all your hints, suggestions and web site links, not to mention all your beautiful quilts. Thank you all so much….

I have not quilted in 10 years, and at best, I just dabbled with simple projects. My Mom was an amazing quilter with 4 of her works published in magazines. My avatar photo is one of her quilts. It was sad that I got into it after she passed away in 1992 as she could have taught me plenty. I have her stash (what a mother load she accumulated) and I intend to get some use out of that. I have her Bernina 1230 machine and I have so many feet for that thing I’ll probably never use them all in my lifetime.

I have a room that will be used for my sewing/computing. I have taken some before photos… OMG it’s a mess! And NO, I won‘t be posting that! (At least not just yet!) I have a big wall area to make a design wall and I have it already, just need DH to put it up when I have everything in it’s place . (He’s such a keeper…. I purchased a quilting magazine to get me inspired, and showed him the picture of the Bernina 830 and he pipes up…” If you’re going to get back into this… Go buy it!” I had a good giggle and then told him how much it costs… he coughed, and almost ran the car off the road. But he never said I couldn’t get it, ……did he????? hummmm….. LOL

So… I need your inspiration to get this room finished so I can get started quilting again. I have a few patterns and books that I ordered and I‘m ready for the fabric run.

Talk to you all soon!!!

Thank you all for the wonderful welcome.

Here are Mom's quilts that were published in Traditional Quilter magazine. I don't know if it even is in print anymore.
