Hello there, I guess I should have posted here before I posted my pics of my first quilt. Thank you for all the great compliments!!
We moved here to AR 5 years ago to help out my dad. My grandma left me her very vintage quilting frame and and then my boys started having babies and that is all it took!!! Well so far.
A very good old friend of mine that moved to CA found out that I made one quilt and mailed me everything else I needed to make prob 5 more quilts.
We are in the middle of making our place bigger so I can have a sewing room, as quarters are a little tight now.
I am in hopes that joining this forum will motivate me a little more to get busy!!!!
By the way, my granddaughter loved her quilt, I was just going to mail it to her, but we had the opportunity to go to Ohio, it was much more rewarding to see her face when I gave it to her!!!!!
Thanks again for making me feel right at home on this forum!!!

Good morning and welcome from Georgia. So glad to have you with us.

We don't mind if you show us pics before or after you introduce yourself!!! Just show us pics!!!

You are so lucky to have inherited quilting goodies from your grandmother!! Those family heirlooms are real treasures.

Be sure to show us pics of your quilt room when you are finished with your renovation. We love pics of those too!! And if you need any advice about how to set it up, what you need to have in it, etc---we are also full of advice (well, we are full of something, anyway!! )

AR stands for Arkansas. I lived in Little Rock for several years and visit my sister who still lives there! Will be going there for Easter!

BTW, Welcome to the board from St. Louis!

Now, I have to look on the map to find Mena. My memory is really bad for geography. :?

My mom lives in Ohio and she always says "Arkansas you mean that another country". Thinks are very different here, I went though big time culture shock, starting to get over it a bit now.
Little Rock is the big city down here, the biggest thing we have is WalMart and a Stage. We have to drive a hour sometimes two to get anywhere to get anything good. I hate buying my fabric at Walmart. I am so happy Janis sent me all them goodies.
