Greetings from Sacramento CA. I'm contemplating applique as well. So far it's just a pattern in a book and an idea in my head.

What a warm greeting from you all. Thank you. You know, I have never made a quilt for myself.....I will try to get photos of the different ones I have given as gifts and post them. I'm not a technological genius, so it may take awhile to figure out how to post them.

By the way.....we're supposed to get as much as 16 inches of snow today. Perfect day to sew!!!!

I work in Golden and live in Lakewood. I'm glad to see this snow, but I drive a little Saturn. I'm hoping to leave for home very soon. I'm working on a batik quilt that I can't wait to back to....

Welcome from the Piedmont of NC ~ Stay safe out there in the snow. We wouldn't know what to do around here with that kind of snow. A heavy dusting and school is called off, no one goes to work and all grocery stores are out of bread and milk. lol Again welcome

I had to laugh, Piedmont Quilter. My cousin, who lives in Cedar Grove, NC, told me almost the same thing as you did. I think it was last year that his area had about 2 inches of snow and you would have thought the National Guard should have been called out. More snow today, and another whopper of a storm on Saturday. It makes it a perfect time to focus on my sampler blocks and not worry about being anywhere else.
