I just found this board today and so far I am really enjoying it. My name is Cathy. I live in IA and have been quilting since 2002. I started when my mom retired to give us something we could do together. She started when I did, but you would think she's been at it for years! I definitely consider myself a beginner and I have made several baby quilts for gifts and even sold one! I have been married for 10 yrs and have a 5 yr old son, Adrian. I haven't been able to sew much lately because of health issues, but this board reminded me how much I enjoy it. It has definitely given me that kick I need to get inspired. Thank you for that! Hope to get to know all of you better!

Hi from Illinois. We have lots of family up in the Omaha area. I'll be sure to honk the next time we are in the neighborhood.

Welcome Cathy! We call Oakland home, but I work in Council Bluffs & lived there several years (but I'm saying Welcome from Des Monies at the moment - no wonder I'm confused!!)

Hi Kathy and welcome from MN.
My dad used to talk about Council Bluffs, he had family there but I don't know if they any of them are still there or not.

Hello, and welcome from Missouri! I drove through IA on my way to Minnesota! I need to get my map out to find out where everyone it! I LOVE geography, but have always been poor in remembering where I am!

Hi, I pm'd you about the quilt show, we went thru Council Bluffs several times when our son and dil lived in Lincoln NE. Sure is beautiful over there. Maybe the Iowa members and other nearby members should meet at Winterset someday and visit Fons and Porters
