Hi my name is Lisa. I completed my first and only completed quilt with my dear MIL a couple years back. It was a way for us to bond and get to know each other better. Since then I have done quilt tops and BOMs. As crazy as it may sound I actually enjoy piecing. I have done more fabric collecting than sewing. My 9 year old daughter has expressed interest in sewing. She joined the 4-H sewing club. Now we are in the process of setting up OUR sewing room. I have been looking at the projects everyone has been posting. Now its time for me to start sewing again. I'm in Tallahassee, Fl. Are there any other quilters on the board near Tallahassee?

Hello and welcome from an Iowa girl
OBTW I learned to sew when I was a 9 year old 4-H er.--almost a half century ago--yikes. :!: I sewed off and on in school and really honed my skills while sewing clothes for my 4 kids. Spent 15 years as a 4-H leader--held many workshops teaching kids how to sew. Always amazed what 4-H taught me as well as the kids in that club. What a wonderful adventrue you two will have :!: Now my 6 year old GD has asked me to teach her--I can hardly wait
