Hello from Fort Worth, Texas
My name is Irene, I live in Fort Worth with my Long Haired Chihuahua "Elvis", he is almost a year old. If I'm not here I spend a lot of time in Oklahoma city with my eldest daughter and in San Antonio with my dad. I also spend time with my youngest two kids In Amarillo, Tx but that is still really hard for me to do since that is where my hubby and I spend almost 28 years together.
My hubby passed a couple of years ago after a long illness at a young age of 48. We have three kids and seven grandchildren. I have been sewing since I was about in the forth grade, thanks to my grandmother and started quilting in my late twenties.
I am so glad I stumbled on to this sight. I promised my friend I would get back into quilting again, I decided to start a memory quilt for myself. I think this sight will be good for me, as I go back to what I missed so much....quilting.
I hope to make good friends here and learn some new things about quilting.
Irene

I miss the Panhandle! I was raised in Hereford, we raised our kids between Amarillo and Canyon and we use to have family gatherings at Palo Duro Canyon (our little grand canyon) when I was a kid and then when our kids were little. I miss Friday nights in the fall and the fair. Great little memories.
