Hi all, I'm so excited to find this forum. I'm teaching myself quilting from the internet and books. My husband bought me a Grace GMC Pro frame with the Juki 98e machine, I love it but would love to have a machine with the larger throat, but those seem very expensive so I'll have to wait.

Welcome! I, too, am learning how to quilt through internet and books.

I'm with Sandra on wondering if you made that beautiful quilt in your avatar.

Yes that was my very first quilt and of course the hardest one I've done because of the broader flowers was sewn on top of the quilt I forget what that's called. But I've made a few more using simple pattern.

Oh, so you think you need a longer throat than the Juki? I've looked and looked trying to decide about buying a quilting frame and machine. I've looked at the Grace Pro, but just don't know enough about them. Of course, I'd love to have one of those Gammils but don't want to end up in the poor house.

How long does it take you to quilt - say a twin size quilt? I just took one to a pro and it's probable going to cost me $75 or more. Thanks for any info you can give me. Dale
