Hello from Illinois
#1
Hi everyone. My name is Joy Voltenburg and I'm posting from central Illinois - rural Sullivan. I'm married, with 4 children, and 3 grandchildren. I've been quilting just a few years. I started on a Singer 401a and upgraded to a Baby Lock Decorators Choice (which I love by the way). I don't yet have a long arm machine, but it's on my short list of must have items. Attached is my latest project. The pattern is from Fons and Porters magazine and I donated it to our fire department auxiliary (I'm president) for our annual silent auction. The proceeds go towards supporting the firemen (my husband is a long-time volunteer) and back to the community in the form of events and scholarships. I'm looking forward to using this forum. I've been looking around and there are a lot of very talented people here.

I feel like I just walked into a room filled of friendly people. It's really nice that there are so many from my area. I've been looking at the Block of the Months, and I think I may try one of those. A big howdy back at all of you!

HI. Welcome from Eastern Washington. I love your quilt.
Which Fons and Porter Magazine was that pattern in. I get all their magazines but don't recall seeing that. Its beautifal.
You did a great job on it. Fabric choices are great.
Glad your here.
