Hi, and welcome from a former Iowan. I was born in Laurens and moved to Alabama when I was two years old. Have lots of relatives in Iowa, but they're getting older. I can remember my mother talking about relatives in Ames, but I couldn't begin to tell you their names. There were lots of them. My mom and dad were both born in Iowa and both had 11 or 12 siblings.

Hi Lily.
This is the greatest site I have found on the internet. Everyone is so nice and helpful. I grew up northeast of you in G.C. but have lived in S.E. Minnesota for the past 35 years. Hope you enjoy it here as much as I do!
