    Default Hello from kansas newbie

Hi everyone, new here and new to quilting. Work full time, but love crafting of all kinds. Just bought a new sewing machine and excited to get starting on a t-shirt quilt. Needing advise on a good iron. Have a great day. Kathy

Welcome from South Dakota. This is a fantastic website - you will learn many things here. If you have a question you will receive answers from many experts. As far as irons go - I use a steam generator that I bought at the Des Moines quilt show several years ago. I like the fact that it doesn't turn off in 15 minutes.

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. Sorry I can't help on a new iron as I am still using my 35 year old GE iron.

Welcome. I had a couple Rowenta irons but the tend to leak So I now have a Black and Decker from Walmart. If it starts leaking I can easily replace it
