when my daughter graduated from nursing school, I made her a red and white checked quilt and used the Loralie Nurse panels (cut into blocks). It made the cutest quilt. I found the panel at a quilt show, but you can google it and get several results.

Welcome from East Texas. One of our ladies is always posting where to find difficult fabric. Maybe she will see & post the site. I'm sorry I can't remember what it is.

Windham has a line of fabric inspired by Clara Barton and named for her. Not obviously nurse-y but still meaningful.

Another welcome from a Florida neighbor. We won't mind if you'd like to stay longer :) -- all quilters are fine folk!
