I am a small rural community grammy of now 6. I have been quilting for years and still love it as much as I did when I started. A few years ago I was burnt in a house fire and I truly believe that my quilting is what has helped to settle my mind and help me relax. I really don't know what else to say so I will stop there.

I am in the process of doing a one block wonder quilt when I get it done I will definitely post a picture on the site. All I have accomplished so far is Christmas stockings for my grand-munchkins and a baby quilt for the youngest at Christmas time.
I would post a picture of the quilt but I'm not sure how to do that. I don't usually participate in chat rooms I usually just sit back and take in all the tips, tricks and chat.

Welcome, Ellen, from Colorado. You found the best quilting board there is. The people are helpful and really nice, and looking at the beautiful work everyone else does is something I look forward to everyday. Enjoy. (I had to giggle at the term "Grand-munchins") Thanks for the smile.

Hey, ellenjs from Alberta, Canada. Glad you're here. I know how powerful the effects of quilting can be in the healing process! Really saved my life, too.

    Hello again ladies
I met a lady in a store (about 100 miles) to the south of me and in our talking she told me she was from my general area and she wanted me to come to her place and go through her stash and take anything I wanted. Then she proceeded to take me to a friends house to pick out some more fabric. So yes my stash is already 8 overflowing bins and slowly growing.
