Hello from Michigan

HI, I am an amateur quilter. I like doing strip, machine sewn quilts. I love natural colors. My husband and I are retired and live in a cottage on the Saginaw Bay. Very beautiful and inspirational. We also have a big old house downstate where my mid-arm Janome mounted on a Gracy frame. I am not as good at long arm quilting as I would like due to lack of practice. We are building a new house (in the same areaJ) where I will have a big quilting studio overlooking the Bay. Hopefully move in next summer. Meantime I am working on the kitchen table in our little cottage.
I also like to sew fleece P.J.'s and hats and mittens for my 4 year old grandson. He likes to hang out with me in the sewing room. We keep M&M peanuts in a secret drawer. He says lets go upstairs, listen to music and eat chocolate.

Thank you, every year I make one and we raffle it off, we also have a blind auction and then use the proceeds to offset the expenses of our next reunion. My Grandmother was a "crazy quilter" using our old clothes and blankets, with sheets for backing and I am the only cousin who quilts. They all love to get them. I usually spend more on making the quilt than we make but I love to do it. Mary J
